I get it , a picture is worth a thousand words , but what if every word is a lie?
I've grown , and in growing I've learned that everything on the internet isn't real , that includes relationships.
I'm no longer for the pomp and circumstance , my goal in life is not to be someones " favorite couple" or ideal love .
Why? because I've watched those types fall by the wayside .
True enough , I hear people on campus and in my smaller groups of friends - argue with their significant others about being posted on social networks . SHIT . I've done it. It wasn't until my s/o posed the question to me , that I thought it was absolutely ridiculous .
Him: " Why don't you have pictures of me on your Instagram ?"
Now my response may have been a little harsh , but it taught me a damn good lesson.
" Its my Instagram , how old are we?"
TRUST ME. I understand its cute , you wanna show them off to the world. To each his own.
However , it means...Nothing.
After all , if your love is really real , what do you have to prove to people on the outside?
Ask yourself , " If there were no Social Networks , how would you validate your relationship?"
Believe me . Your 200+ followers don't give a damn about your relationship. sorry , not sorry.
